CAMPER AGES
Camps available for kids ages 5-12. Must be 5 years old by January 1, 2012.
SEASON
KidzCamp will be held from June 13th through August 19th, 2011.

9am - 4pm Monday thru Friday

SAFETY
Safety is something we don’t take lightly. We require all campers to have a camp t-shirt, so they can easily be recognized within their groups.
We provide training with our counselors before the begining of camp.
We follow the state approved childcare ratios.
Background checks are done on all Kidz Camp staff.

COUNSELOR/
CAMPER RATIO
At Kidz Camp we are concerned about offering above average teaching opportunities whether in educationally based curriculm or sports activities. Keeping this in mind we will exceed state minimums for each age group of campers.
Current State Minimums are as follows:
5 yrs old: 10:1 (20 max per group)
6-7 yrs old: 12:1 (24 max per group)
8-9 yrs old: 15:1 (30 max per group)
10 yrs old: 15:1 (30 max per group)
Additionally we have a Camp Director/Assistant Director, Early/Late Dismissal Counselors, and owner on premises throughout the camp day.

Yes!!! Kidz Camp offers exciting and varying theme weeks every week! Our sports/crafts/educational programs will be centered on our theme!

FIELD TRIPS
We will be providing the children with field trips to Bogey Macaw's Family Entertainment Center. Campers will also be visiting our many on-site amenities such as the spa and salon, restaurants, golf facility, hotel operation, and more!
SAMPLE SCHEDULE
7:00-8:00 a.m. – Independent Arts/Crafts (offer two; same offering as in the evening), Board Games
WHOLE GROUP – CAMPER CHOICE
8:00-9:00 a.m. – CLUBS (offer three choices)
SMALL GROUPS – CAMPER CHOICE
Clubs are under development: Gardening, Exercise, Knitting, Yoga, Spanish, Basketball, Four-Square, Bocce Ball, Tether ball, or volley ball, etc.
9:00-9:30 a.m. - Camp Meeting/Stretching-Morning Exercises/Snack Shack Open/Bathroom Breaks
9:30-12:00 noon - Camp Station Rotation in SMALL GROUPS by AGE
The station rotation schedule will be designed by the camp staff. Groups will alternate active physical play with a more calming FUN learning focused activity. There will be two stations before lunch and two stations after lunch. There will be a 15 minute transition time between stations. Stations include Science Labs as well as Reading & Writing Labs.
12:00-1:00 p.m. – Lunch (Basketball, four-square, bocce ball, Tetherball)
WHOLE GROUP – CAMPER CHOICE
1:00-3:30 p.m. – Continue Camp Station Rotation in SMALL GROUPS by AGE
3:30-4:00 p.m. – Camp Team Meeting/Bathroom Break/Snack Shack
4:00-5:00 p.m. – Enrichment Activities
WHOLE GROUP or SMALL GROUP CAMPER CHOICE alternate activity for those who do not go (UK Soccer, Music with Mark DeRose, Bogey McCaw’s, Golf Lessons)
5:00-5:30 p.m. – “HOW TO”
5:30-6:00 - Special activity planned by camp staff

Due to safety concerns we do not choose to include swimming into our curriculum.

OUTDOOR FACILITY
Yes. We will be providing 90% outdoor facilities. We do have indoor facilities available based on the weather. We believe the kids should be getting lots of fresh air and exercise.
